PTE (Pearson Test for English) is a English proficiency test accepted for study worldwide, migration or work. PTE is a computer-based test which measures your English speaking, listening, reading, and writing. PTE is a 2 hours test taken in a small, friendly test centre environment – with no more than 15 seats per test room.
PTE Test Format:
This section is 54–67 minutes long and it contains seven different question types. It is the longest section of the test. Your speaking and writing skill is tested in this section, basis the academic English.
This section is 29–30 minutes long and it contains five different question types. One question type that is, Reading and Writing: Fill in the blanks, assesses the writing skill as well as PTE Academic is an integrated skills test.
This section is 30–43 minutes long and it contains eight different question types. The questions are based on audio or video clips, which begin to play automatically. You hear each audio or video clip once. You are allowed to take notes.

PTE exam format consists of 20 different question types, which test the Speaking & Writing skills (54 – 67 minutes), Reading skills (29 – 30 minutes), and Listening skills (30 – 43 minutes) of candidates.
PTE Academic gives you a score from 10–90 at an increment of 1 point.
The duration of PTE exam is 2 hrs. There is no break in between the PTE sections.
PTE can be taken at home in India but you must check with the university for its acceptance.

There is no pass/fail in the PTE exam. Universities define a minimum accepted PTE score required to apply to that university. Students must aim to maximize the PTE score to increase chance to admissions and for scholarships.
All you have to do is sign in to your myPTE account, go to your score, and start the process to send it to your choice of institution and program which is free of charge.
The PTE score is valid for 2 years.
The PTE Academic can be on the computer at the testing center. There is PTE Academic online (at home testing) available in India but the prefered mode is taking test in the testing center.
Rs 15900 is the PTE Academic fee.
Candidates can reschedule for free if they reschedule 14 days before the test.Candidates who plan to reschedule the test with less than 14 calendar days, but at least seven full calendar days before their test date will be required to pay 50% of the PTE test fee. No refunds will be provided on rescheduling the exam less than seven calendar days before the exam.
yes, a full refund is given if you cancel the test 14 days before the test., you will receive 50% refund if the test is cancelled between 13-8 days before the test . There is no refund is you cancel the test 7 days before the test.
Valid Passport is accepted as id proof for PTE exam registration.
A student can take PTE as many times as he wants but he has to wait till the result of the previous attempt to write again.
The PTE test scores can be viewed online. When the result is available, you will be notified via mail. You can then log into Pearson VUE and view your score by clicking on View Score.
The candidate must be at least 16 years of age and those who are below 18 must possess a parental consent form to be eligible.
The PTE certificate is widely recognized in countries like Canada, Australia, the USA, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and many more.
A student has to arrive 30 min prior to the PTE test.
A student cannot resit for a single module on the PTE.
There is no scheduled break in PTE. If a student takes an unscheduled break then the clock will countinue ticking.
